Click on his picture to go to Smith Bujinkan Dojo for more information. What is Ninjutsu? Ninjutsu is an art that is nearly 1000 years old. It has been passed down from generation to generation in Japan. It is a real martial art. It is designed for self defense and not for sport. There are several techniques in this art that can damage, hurt or kill an advesary. Training in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is unlike that of other sport martial arts. There are no full speed, full contact sparring matches. At these speeds many of the students would be seriously injured. Training is done in a controlled safe manner to attempt to prevent injuries. In the late 70's and early 80's Ninjutsu was brought to the states. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, Ninjutsu is the authentic art of the Ninja. The art of Ninjutsu (Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu) is to promote peace and harmony, not to destroy it, Hollywood has given Ninjutsu a black eye and a bad rap. It's nothing at all like what you see in the movies and on TV, on the contrary it's quite the opposite. People who train in the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (Ninjutsu) are peace loving people who promote peace in the world. The goal of Ninjutsu is peace and harmony. We train to help people and make the world a safer and better place to live in.
