Sensei Cox, Former SSMA student and SSMA Assistant Instructor. Sensei Cox started his Manabi-Masho Jujitsu training at SSMA in December of 1998. He obtained his Nidan "2nd Degree Black Belt" in February 2003 through SSMA. Sensei Cox left SSMA shortly thereafter to become a direct student of Grandmaster John Casarez. He opened his own school with partner Guro Mark Peavey later that summer. Guro Peavey was once a student at SSMA and taught Modern Arnis on several occassions at our old location at 335 E. Market St. in Smithfield, NC. Double Impact is only the second school in North Carolina authorized to teach the Manabi-Masho Jujitsu art. Guro Mark Peavey also teaches Modern Arnis and Tai-Chi in addition to Manabi-Masho Jujitsu.
